"Friends to the Rescue"

This image was inspired by the brave humans and canines of the NDSDF. It takes $10,000 to raise and train just one search dog that saves so many lives in disasters like 9-11 and  Hurricane Katrina.  Founded following the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, the NDSDF is the only organization that rescues, trains and pairs professionally-trained dogs with firefighters at no cost to the firefighters. These FEMA certified disaster teams are a valuable resource for communities across the nation.

"Partners"

A service dog provides great opportunities for an independent life and can become a true blessing for someone that uses a chair, fatigues quickly or has seizures. A human "helps", often leaving the recipient feeling like a burden, while a dog is a partner as they will each depend upon each other for care and companionship. A dog helps with emotional needs as well and will provide comfort to the human when upset or frustrated. This painting is a tribute to partners everywhere.

This painting was created for the 2007 CPL annual wine auction.  It was auctioned off for nearly $3000 and all of the proceeds went to support CPL.  The image represents the amazing fruits that the future brings to all things through growth and effort.

Every Labrador I’ve ever known values a good stick.  The original drawing was inspired by a great service dog that enjoys his downtime.  All good dogs should have a good stick.

What is a Giclee? A Giclee (pronounced Gee-Clay) print is a piece of artwork reproduced on canvas or paper by using a high quality digital ink printer. Extremely fine droplets of archival ink are sprayed on the chosen surface. This high tech process and extremely high quality reproduction combined with high quality archival paper accounts for a higher value in the print over some other printing methods.  Prints should be framed under glass and placed out of direct sunlight.

All prints are signed and shipped on acid free foam board in a protective acid free plastic sleeve. Sizing corresponds to the mat opening to frame the print with artist signature showing.
